One organizer, a few neighbors, and a season. Here’s how a first season can go, from a spreadsheet to a map the whole town uses.
An organizer starts the map and adds the dozen houses she already knew from her Facebook group. Big Red Bulb suggests nearby displays already on the platform.
A few neighbors apply to be ambassadors. They add displays from their own side of town and drive by to confirm them. The organizer does none of the data entry.
Visitors confirm displays as they drive, leave reviews, and vote in the community’s awards. Next November the whole map is still there, waiting to be re-lit.
